Pasta is a staple of many cuisines across the world, perhaps only following rice and bread. While many of us eat it, how many really know the different types available? There are far more than what you see in your grocery store.

How many types of pasta are there? Well, there are literally hundreds. Technically, pasta is just general term signifying dough made from flour and water.
